No one put up much of an argument when Nazi and Japanese war criminals were sentenced to death. It was almost as if the public said that it was the most justified sentence ever. But, why are there so many bleeding-heart voices raised now to spare convicted sadists and mass murderers from even the seemingly kind way of dying- lethal injections? Why is the old Biblical injunction of an eye for an eye no longer made to be fair? One has to remember that old TV series with the theme song of Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.
